]]>The Gawad SGOD awarding ceremony aimed to encourage, reward and give recognition to all program implementers and coordinators who have been committed and demonstrated an excellent performance in implementing different programs and projects lodged in the School Governance and Operations Division (SGOD). At the same time, motivate program implementers to achieve organizational productivity and to contribute in improving access, quality and governance of basic education.
The very 1st Gawad SGOD: Search for Outstanding Program Implementer with the theme: Shining Light on Best Practices Amidst times of Pandemic was held last July 9, 2021 at First Pacific Leadership Academy and was live streamed via FB live on DepEd Tayo Antipolo City official Facebook page and Zoom application for the awardees, witnesses and viewers. The broadcasting started at exactly 8 o’clock in the morning and ended at 1 o’clock in the afternoon. And it was hosted by Nurse Elaine Calacday and Aquiel Morales.
All SGOD technical working group were present at the venue together with the ICT personnel who did the live streaming. The SDO Antipolo Schools Division Superintendent and the Assistant Schools Division Superintendent were also at the venue during the event. All health protocols were observed during the event.
The program was started with the AVP of National Anthem followed by a prayer led by Nurse Arline Dulin.
A very inspiring recorded video opening remarks of Dr. Christopher R. Diaz, Schools Division Superintendent of SDO Antipolo was also played.
“DepEd Antipolo has always carry its badge Ibang Klase to! Continuously setting new trends in introducing new tangled ideas that put premium importance to its people and the once who are at the forefront in implementing programs and projects and those who have contributed much to its success”, he said.
He highly acknowledged the commitments and accomplishments of schools’ programs implementers that for him - truly deserved to be recognized.
“We at DepEd Antipolo felt that it is high time that we recognize these great men and women in the field. A recognition that defeats their contribution, accomplishments and unparalleled commitment to quality, relevant and responsive basic education that all young Antipolenos truly deserve. It is a perfect conjecture with the unparalleled and immeasurable work you have done which makes you all like brilliant stars that continue to shine even in the midst of the darkest sky. True enough we have found precious gems in you. Treasures which we uncovered in DepEd Antipolo”, he added.
Amidst pandemic, Dr. Diaz congratulated the SGOD with the impeccable and dynamic leadership of School Governance and Operations Division Chief, Dr. Jonathan Domingo and the brilliant SGOD Kapamilya members that made things happened.
Greetings and messages of distinguished guests were also heard. First from Honorable Mayor Andrea B. Ynares and it was immediately followed by the CALABARZON IV-A Regional Director - Francis Cesar B. Bringas. While the SGOD, Chief – Dr. Jonathan Domingo stated the statement of purpose of the said activity.
The highlights of the program were the presentation and the announcement of winners on every category presented by each program owners of SGOD Kapamilya. The awards and recognition given are the following: Best Implementer, Best Coordinator, Service Awardees (Bronze – 3 yrs., Silver – 6yrs, Gold-9yrs, and Platinum-12yrs). The awards were consolidated before the awarding ceremony as the Most Outstanding Program Implementers. It was proclaimed before the end of the program by Dr. Juan Araojo for the Elementary Level and Dr. Christopher Diaz for the Secondary Level. The ceremony was ended with the closing remarks of ASDS and an AVR presentation of winners of the cellphone load, 3 winners of 100 pesos per category sponsored by the program owner.
The conduct of the 1st Gawad SGOD awarding was successfully done. Both the technical working group of SGOD, top management and awardees (finalists and winners) were very grateful for the turn-out and of course of the recognition received.

The registration started at 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM. Once done with the registration, the program started with the singing of the National Anthem and a prayer lead by Mrs. Merly Q. Ronquillo. The program host, Ms. Mara Angeli V. Bañares, welcomed everyone present in the event. Our school principal, Dr. Rommel S. Beltran welcomed the guests, visitors, and participants of the event with a warm message and enthusiasm. After the welcome remarks, an inspirational message was given by Hon. Andrea B. Ynares, Antipolo City mayor. She stated how the program was realized and emphasized the purpose of the activity. She also gave a message of encouragement for the students to study well and make Antipolo City government proud. Another inspirational message was given by Dr. Christopher R. Diaz, Schools Division Superintendent of Antipolo. On his speech, he thanked the city mayor for the help to make the event possible. Seeing the impact of the pandemic in the field of education, he stated that we need to level up. With that in mind, he requested computer tablets to be distributed to the Senior High School students of Antipolo City. He also mentioned that he envisions young Antipoleños to be productive citizens not only for the city but also for the country which will be possible when students are given quality education.
After the warm messages is the official turn-over of the computer tablets and photo opportunity. Before leaving the venue, Mayor Ynares gave a message of gratitude to everyone who graced the ceremony. She also mentioned that she salutes the teachers for their efforts in providing quality education amidst this pandemic. She ended the message with an encouragement for everyone to dream big and make these dreams come true. The tablets were then distributed to the school recipients. The program ended at 2:10 PM.

SDO Antipolo goes virtual pushing the 5th HAMAKA Awards of Excellence amidst pandemic
The City Schools Division of Antipolo (SDO Antipolo) held the 5th HAMAKA Awards of Excellence with the theme ‘Sustaining Excellence in Education, Amidst the Challenges of Time’ thru virtual telecast on its official facebook pages last December 10, 2020 despite the boundaries set by the pandemic.
The said program sustains the annual giving of awards reaching viewers and supporters online aiming to motivate and recognize the hard work and contribution of teachers and personnel of the division.
“Sa gitna ng pandemya at iba pang kalamidad na ating naranasan ay naipakita pa rin nila ang kanilang galing, ang kanilang husay, at matapat na paglilingkod maihatid lamang at maibahagi ang isang dekalidad na edukasyon para sa mga batang Antipoleño”, Dr. Christopher R. Diaz, Schools Division Superintendent of SDO Antipolo said on his welcome speech.
Diaz also emphasized on his speech that teachers’ perseverance to continue and deliver quality education despite the changes in the usual ways of teaching and learning caused by the pandemic must be given recognition.
“Ang HAMAKA Awards of Excellence ay isinagawa namin para sa natatanging indibidwal ng DepEd Antipolo, bilang pagkilala sa kanilang natatanging kontribusyon sa pamamahala at tapat na serbisyo nilang ipinamalas maging sa gitna ng mga unos at pagsubok na naranasan ng ating kagawaran, ng ating bayan, at maging ng buong mundo. Indeed, this year’s theme is a perfect conjecture to the resiliency, boldness and relentless spirit displayed in the performance of their duties”, Diaz added.

Ynares, FPTA and all other stakeholders as it conducts "Handa na Eskwela Caravan" today, September 30, 2020 from 7:30am to 10:00am.
